International Women's Brass Conference

Held this year at the University of North Texas, the International Women’s Brass Conference will feature a daily schedule of recitals, workshops and lectures, followed by evening concerts at 7:30pm, featuring some of the brightest stars of the brass world.

Nikolette will be presenting a lecture recital entitled “Edith Borroff: Musicologist and Composer Combined in her Sonata for Horn and Piano (1954)” on Thursday, May 26 at 4pm in which Ms. LaBonte will use Edith Borroff’s own musicological writings to analyze her work and reveal the journey backward into music history within the piece.

Nikolette will also present a “Choose Your Own Adventure” Warm-up on Saturday, May 28 at 8am in which participants will be able to determine their own warm-up through Ms. LaBonte’s interactive process.
